Support Groups

In addition to our many care programs, Cascade Park also offers FREE support groups that are open to the public. Primarily serving those in Pierce County and the Puget Sound area, the purpose of these support groups is reach out to our neighboring communities and build networks of relationships, while also providing key resources to people in need.

There are currently two support groups available at Cascade Park. Both are held once a month in the evening to limit conflicts with work. The support groups are held regularly on a recurring basis.

While our support groups are held at Active Day facilities, they are not directly connected to our day health or other business services. Rather, they are meant to be a public resource that works to complement and enhance our other care programs.

Available Support Groups:

  • Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group. As a state resource coordinator, and in tandem with the state-wide TBI project, Cascade Park offers this support group as a way of equipping people with the necessary tools for dealing with acquired or traumatic brain injuries. It is held on the third Tuesday of every month from 6:00pm-7:30pm.
  • Memory Care Support Group. Cascade Park has long been a major contributor in the fight against Alzheimer’s and other dementias. This support group is one more way in which we can help people learn about and prepare for how to handle memory care issues. It is held on the first Wednesday of every month from 6:30pm-8:00pm.
