Adult day health centers were developed to provide safe, quality care for frail and vulnerable adults of all ages who still desire and are capable of living at home but are in need of functional support outside of their home.Active Day was created specifically to meet this need and is currently comprised of three programs
- Our AWARD-WINNING Traditional Adult Day Health (ADH) Program- offering a morning, afternoon, and full-day program designed to meet the functional and cognitive needs through an individually-tailored plan of care.
- Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Program - a comprehensive program specifically focused on caring for those with traumatic or acquired brain injuries.
- NEW! Memory Care Program - supplementing our residential memory care services at Cascade Park Gardens, this segment of Active Day offers day health services for people who suffer from Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.
Active Day provides Tacoma with a unique resource. It is one of the only providers of adult day health with program-specific staff (many “ADH” programs are run by staff who are also taking care of the overnight residents). We also have the only program in the South Puget Sound with a dedicated TBI health service.
